Had a loss? Here is exactly what to do
Carriers take claims 24/7. We stay on your side from the first photo to the final check, in English or Spanish.

Five steps after any claim
Auto accident, hail on the roof or a burst pipe, the first hours look the same.
Step 1
Make everyone safe
Call 911 for injuries, fire or a gas leak. Move to safety and, after a crash, exchange insurance details and take photos.
Step 2
Call your carrier's claim line
Claim lines are open 24/7. The number is on your ID card and in the table below. Write down your claim number.
Step 3
Document the damage
Photos and video of every angle, receipts for emergency repairs and a list of damaged belongings.
Step 4
Prevent more damage
Tarp the roof, shut off water, board a broken window. Reasonable temporary repairs are usually part of the claim.
Step 5
Tell your Sunbelt agent
Call (210) 555-0199 or email us your claim number. We follow up with the adjuster and review the settlement with you.

Claim questions
For emergencies, call 911 first, then your carrier's 24/7 claim line to open the claim. Then call us during business hours and we will follow up with the adjuster for you.
It can, depending on the carrier, the type of claim and your history. We can talk through whether a small claim close to your deductible is worth filing.
Take dated photos of the roof, gutters, windows, vehicles and any hailstones next to a ruler or coin. Keep receipts for emergency repairs like tarps.
